Chiropractor
Chris Dohnal D.C.
Dr. Chris Dohnal has been interested in helping others through health care since he was young. When he experienced an injury as a collegiate cross-country runner, traditional medical professionals were unable to get him back to the sport he loved. On the advice of a family friend Dr. Dohnal sought care from a chiropractor who was able to identify and correct his injury.
Dr. Dohnal was sold on pursuing a career of helping others find their return to health and the activities they love through chiropractic.
Dr. Dohnal attended Mount Union University as a collegiate student athlete. Upon graduation from Mount Union with a degree in Biology, Dr. Dohnal attended Logan College of Chiropractic where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2005. Dr. Dohnal graduated with honors, earning several awards and recognitions. He continues to advance his knowledge through yearly trainings and membership with the Tennessee Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Dohnal also holds training and certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). This training increases his skill in addressing structural imbalances which impact function. Dr. Dohnal is committed to lifelong learning so he can provide the highest quality of care to his patients.
When Dr. Dohnal is not caring for his patients, his time is spent with his family. Dr. Dohnal and his wife, Linda, have three sons and 2 dogs – all of whom are spoiled. Their family can often be found participating in community events, supporting each other on the soccer field or tennis courts, and spending time creating memories with family and friends. The Dohnals are the family who does Turkey Trots on Thanksgiving. Dr. Dohnal’s wife wishes she knew this would be a lasting tradition before they got married.
Dr. Dohnal is connected to other likeminded chiropractors not only in this area, but across the state through his involvement with the Tennessee Chiropractic Association. Dr. Dohnal also gets treatment from a local chiropractor with weekly adjustments. This helps keep Dr. Dohnal running, biking, and swimming toward his own health and performance goals.
